KARP is a not-for-profit, non-governmental
organization affiliated with the United Nations. Our organization works
to enrich the quality of life of Koreans and Korean-Americans over the
age of forty, through social advances and government policies. Founded
in New York City in 1996 and launched in Korea in 2002, our motto is:
" What will you do with the rest of your life?"
Our reasons for naming this event Motor
Korea / Walk Korea are threefold: it is, firstly, inspired by the motorcycle
parade in Washington D. C. The word "motor" also invokes the
power of the engine as it relates to the heroes who have built our nation.
Finally, it is a reminder to us all to keep our inner motors primed and
running. Our goal is to motivate our middle-aged and elderly citizens
to better their lives as we remember the many patriotic men and women
who have sacrificed their own lives for the sake of others. We sincerely
hope you will join us for Motor Korea / Walk Korea and truly appreciate
your concern and support.
Join with us, Bring your family and friends.

Parade will go on, rain or shine. *
